Venues for the upcoming weekend of semi-finals, as well as the Kookaburra Premier Women’s First XI One-Day and Premier Men’s U18 Grand Finals, have been confirmed.
Dandenong’s Shepley Oval will host the Kookaburra Premier Women’s First XI One-Day Grand Final for the second consecutive year and the third time overall.
Before that the Geelong Cricket Ground and Prahran’s Toorak Park will both host this weekend’s semi-finals in the 1st XI competition.
Geelong and Box Hill will play off in the first semi-final at Geelong Cricket Ground, with the winner to proceed to the decider.
The other semi-final will see Prahran host Melbourne, with the winner of that game to play the loser of the other semi-final.
In the Women’s Second XI, Geelong will host Prahran at Kardinia Park West while Melbourne host Carlton at the Albert Ground.
Carlton and Melbourne’s Third XIs will also meet at Princes Park, with first-placed Geelong travelling to Shepley Oval to play Dandenong.
Meanwhile Footscray’s Merv Hughes Oval will host this weekend’s Premier Men’s U18 Grand Final to be played between Prahran and Geelong.
Both teams come into the decider off impressive wins, with Prahran defeating Footscray at this weekend’s venue by nine wickets and Geelong defeating first-placed Melbourne by three wickets in a high-scoring match at Beaumaris Secondary College.
