Dees make it 3-peat in Under 18s

Melbourne has defeated Carlton by 8 wickets to win the Premier Women's Under 18 title in hot conditions at Princes Park.

Batting first, Carlton finished their 50 with a score of 9/171 as Grace Potter 48 runs and Charli McLennan 32 provided the bulk of the teams runs. Darcy Collins with 3/26 was the pick of the bowlers for the Demons.

In reply, Melbourne cruised past the total in the 38th over for the loss of just two wickets. Zoe Samuel (51*) and Hasrat Gill (48*) finished the game in style.

Melbourne’s Sahana Tarini was presented with the medal as Player of the Final having made 34 runs and taking 2/19 from 10 overs with the ball.

Melbourne and Carlton had progressed to the Grand Final as the two highest placed finishes from the carnival of matches in January.
