The Una Paisley Medal (Best Player in Women's 1st XI) and June Cole Award (Best 1st Year Player in Women's 1st XI) were first awarded in the 1978/79 season after the passing of both ladies during the 1977/78 season to recognise their respective contributions to Women's Cricket in Victoria.
